Plan Your Visit
Faith Chapel is a Free Will Baptist church family rooted in God's Word and glad to meet whoever walks through the door. Whether you've been walking with the Lord for decades or you've never set foot in a church — come as you are.
Welcome to Faith Chapel! We want you to make yourself at home. We aren't fancy and we aren't perfect, but we love the Lord and work tirelessly to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with all that will hear.
Whether you are new to church or just trying to find the right one, give Faith Chapel a try. The Bible is our base, Christ is our foundation, and redemption is our message. Just step inside the door and let the Lord do the rest.
"Come to Faith" — it's more than an invite, it's our mission.
If you've never been to a church service before, that's okay. Here's a quick guide to what your first Sunday at Faith Chapel will be like.
Some folks dress up, some come in jeans. There's no dress code — just bring yourself. We care about you, not your outfit.
We have a nursery for the littlest ones and Sunday School classes for every age. Children's church takes place during the morning service.
Our services include singing hymns and worship songs, prayer, and a sermon straight from God's Word. Plan for about 75 minutes.
The Scriptures, Old and New Testaments, are the very words of God — without error and our only rule of faith and practice.
God's unique Son — God revealed in flesh, crucified for our sin, risen, glorified, and the only mediator between God and man.
Pardon comes when we admit our sin, repent, and trust the finished work of Christ. Salvation is by grace alone, not by works.
It is God's will that all be saved, but salvation comes only to those who repent and believe. Whoever will may come.
Pastor Jason Roberts has been part of the West Plains community his entire adult life. For more than three decades, he's walked with people through baptisms and burials, weddings and weekday phone calls — preaching the gospel and pointing folks toward the Lord, one Sunday at a time.
Jason has been serving as pastor of Faith Chapel since September of 2020. Before that, he spent more than thirty years in vocational and volunteer ministry — building relationships, preaching the Word, and walking alongside families through the everyday and the unexpected.
He and his wife Mary Ann, a retired schoolteacher, have built a life of service together. They have three children and five grandchildren.
His preaching is straightforward and rooted in Scripture. If you have questions about faith, doubts you're working through, or just need someone to talk to, his door is open — and so is his phone.
Two ministries, one mission — helping young people know what they believe, understand why they believe it, and live out their faith in the real world.

A place where teenagers can wrestle honestly with their faith, build friendships that matter, and grow into the men and women God is calling them to be.

Jake Marcum serves as Youth Pastor at Faith Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. His heart for ministry began at a young age, when he felt called to preach as a teenager and started serving through preaching, teaching, and music.
After many years of ministry involvement, Jake has a particular passion for helping children and teenagers develop a faith that goes beyond Sunday morning. His desire is for young people to know what they believe, understand why they believe it, and learn how to live out their faith in the real world.
As Youth Pastor, Jake works with Faith Chapel's children, teens, teachers, and volunteers to build a ministry centered on biblical truth, meaningful relationships, service, and plenty of fun along the way. His goal is simple: create a place where every young person knows they are loved, valued, and encouraged to grow closer to Christ.
Jake and his wife Jessica live in West Plains with their son Thomas.
Sunday morning is the start, not the whole. Throughout the week and across the year, our church family gathers to study, serve, and share the love of Christ — at home, in our community, and around the world.

One-minute devotional spots aired across our community — funded by generous sponsors who share the Faith Chapel mission of reaching neighbors with the truth of God's Word and the gospel of Jesus Christ.

A ministry of Samaritan's Purse that blesses children in need around the world by filling shoeboxes with toys, personal care items, school supplies, and small gifts — a tangible demonstration of God's love. The Gospel is shared with each child who receives one.
Faith Chapel pours real time, money, and energy into collecting items, packing boxes, and preparing them for shipment each year. It's one of our favorite weekends of the year.

We assist with food boxes for families and individuals in our community in need, as supplies and budget allow.
We also have a Meal Ministry that brings meals to church members and attendees during seasons of hardship — a hospital stay, the loss of a loved one, the birth of a baby, or anytime a hot meal would be a blessing.

While the grown-ups are in the morning service, our 6th grade and under crowd has a service of their own — a chance to learn about Jesus in a way that fits how they think, play, and grow.
It's a safe, fun, gospel-centered space, and the children come back to their families excited about what they learned.

Each summer, our pre-teens and teens count down the days to Camp Niangua. Set in the Missouri Ozarks, the camp offers swimming, basketball, softball, volleyball, ping pong, playground equipment, horseback riding, and just about everything else a kid could ask for.
With separate dorm housing for up to 600 boys and girls, it's the kind of week where lifelong friendships form, faith gets real, and stories get told for years afterward.
Our activity committee plans events throughout the year for women, men, senior adults, married couples, youth, teens, children — and everyone in between. Here are a few favorites.

Each year we celebrate the season with food, fun, and fellowship. It's always a great night for the whole family.

We love and appreciate our students and teachers. Each year we pray over them, bless them with a back-to-school gift, and throw a pool party.

The ladies of Faith Chapel love getting together to make bouquets — a fun, creative afternoon and a sweet excuse to spend time together.
Whether it's your first time at Faith Chapel or your first time at any church, we'd love to have you. Here's everything you need to know.

There's plenty of parking right at the building. If you arrive a few minutes early, someone will likely greet you on the way in.
Whether you make it for Sunday School at 10, the morning service at 11, or somewhere in between, we'll be glad to see you. Come as you are.
Our morning service runs about an hour. We sing hymns and worship songs, share announcements and prayer requests, take an offering (visitors aren't expected to give), and Pastor Jason brings a message straight from God's Word.
Faith Chapel has a staffed nursery during the morning service. Children 6th grade and under can join Children's Church when the morning service begins.
After the service, folks usually visit in the foyer for a while — coffee in hand, catching up. If you'd rather slip out quietly, that's fine too.
Whatever's comfortable. You'll see a range — some dress up, some come in jeans and boots. We care about who you are, not what you have on.
Look for the greeters — they'll point you to the nursery for babies and toddlers, or Sunday School and Children's Church for older kids.
Morning worship runs about 75 minutes. Sunday School is 50 minutes before that.
No. We take an offering during morning service, but visitors aren't expected to participate. Just enjoy the service.
Bring one if you'd like. If not, no worries — Scripture is shown on screen, and we can help you find a Bible to take home.
Absolutely. Sit anywhere, stay as long as you'd like. No pressure to introduce yourself, raise your hand, or stand up.
We'd be honored to pray with you. Reach out by email or phone and our pastor and prayer team will lift you up. All requests are kept confidential.
